This year’s Oscar nominations were announced this morning. Not only did The Dark Knight not get nominated for Best Picture, but Christopher Nolan did not receive a nomination for Best Director. I’m sure Heath Ledger will win for Best Supporting Actor and TDK will take home a few other awards for special effects, make-up, etc. but it was by far the best film of the year.
